At the Paris Auto Show they presented the Seat Iba, a 102 hp electric sport beauty. This battery-powered 2+2 sports coupe reaches 100km/h in 10 seconds, which is not bad, but it’s also justified by its light weight: only 2,425-pounds. With a range of 81 miles, there’s still room for improvement, but Seat have started well in this ecological affair. Seat wants the Ibe to be the future sports urban vehicle and they seem to be on the right path for that.

Until then, the South Korean company released this very attractive sketch, conceived by its research and development studio in Russelsheim, Germany.

Just wait until you hear what’s under the bonnet! The fierce supercar will be brought to life by either a Ford twin-turbo ecoboost 3.5 V6 engine that develops up to 465 bhp or by four electric in-hub fuel cells, each producing 85 Kw (combined an equivalent of 440 bhp). The spark will be produced by a methanol fuel cell stack placed beneath the 500 liter boot. Not bad, not bad at all.

This car aims pretty high, I’d say. But then again, Italian fashion and supercars are a perfect match.

The Mazda Shinari concept debuts a new design language for the Japanese company, called Kodo. It is an evolution of the previous Nagare styling, and basically translates into the ’soul of motion’.

The new concept showcases some pretty aggressive lines, and gone is the ‘happy’ grille that we saw on previous concepts and on models like the Mazda3 or Mazda6. Metallic and aluminum inserts are also present, in order to highlight a sporty image.

The Epic EV Torq is an eccentric three-wheel roadster that will definitely catch your eye.
It’s powered by Flux Power battery packs and although there are no figures on the performance yet, we believe it to be pretty fast. Although you won’t even get a windshield with this baby, don’t worry: it has two cup holders separated and an iPhone stand, so you can have the minimum amount of comfort you need.

The Epic EV Amp is for the more rugged fellow: all wheel drive capability, huge torque and electric drivetrain will get any automotive aficionado excited! And despite its rough stance, the EV Amp comes with an LCD screen that displays the most important information for the driver. Boy, would I love to drive that!

Don’t know why, but I have a feeling we’ll be hearing about those two.

In order to make this car, a team or engineers are working on research at the University of Oxford, Cranfield and Birmingham City in order to make a car that’s efficient and is powered by a high torque electric motor that develops twice the power as the same weight category cars. Morgan’s plans are pretty impressive, but let’s see how they’ll play out.
