It seems that the world’s cheapest car, the Tata Nano, has something in common with the Audi R8 or Ferrari 458 Italia supercars.
What’s that you ask? They’re all extremely fire-prone and flammable, at least judging by recent events.
A new Tata Nano fire was reported last week in India, with the diminutive car bursting into flames as soon as the owner tried to start the rear-mounted engine. A few sparks flew off, and then flames quickly engulfed the rear of the Nano.
The Indian model has suffered from inexplainable fires in the past, and Tata even launched an official investigation, which said that there was no underlying cause for the fires.
