The guys over at Zercustoms bring us an interesting piece of news. They say that “a North American court has decided the Government is allowed to track you car via GPS.” Moreover, the decision means that:

“A Police officer is allowed the approach your car and install a GPS on it if it’s parked in your driveway. Your driveway is essentially a public space, so the Police is allowed to investigate, meaning it can also install a GPS tracking device on your car. After installing the GPS, they are free to monitor your position without a warrant.”

Basically, the USA government could be tracking your car via GPS and I’m sure that many of us are not comfortable with this. There are two ways to get around this problem: first, you can look for the GPS device and take it off or, second, you can use a GPS jammer. The thing with the second solution is that it’s illegal and it jams any GPS device in your car and in the nearby cars.

That being said, what do you think: will the government track our cars and what would you do about it?
