This is a guest post written by Georgiana Stanciu, one of our players in RevvNation (where she goes under the name of Cyra) who went to BMW Innovation Days with us last Sunday. Here’s her story about power, adrenaline and fantastic cars!

I’ll start this post with a question: How many times have you heard the word “adrenaline?” And how many times have you really experienced it?
I’ll give you my own answer. I’ve heard it and used it many, many times, but truly felt it for good only last Sunday while treading the pedal of a 7 Series at BMW Innovation Days.
When I first got there, I was very curious about the details that BMW was going to share with us during the workshops. I knew a test drive was following after the Efficient Dynamics presentation to let us experience how the innovative systems worked on the road, but I didn’t imagine how that it was going to be.
BMW history in innovations is amazing, but I’ll skip this for the moment.
So, I stepped into the last car available for the test drive. A 7 Series which I thought it will be not so
comfortable to drive for me, judging by its size… and when I mean it size, I compare it with my little car I drive every day, a small class one.
The feeling of driving the 7 series is hard to be compared to anything. Despite the fact that I didn’t really feel like I was driving a long limousine, I suddenly “woke up” from reality, if I can say that, when the instructor told me to accelerate. The road was clear and so I did. In just a few seconds I felt my heart beating as never did before and couldn’t help but scream! I was so amazed by the feeling I was feeling just by driving a car. “That’s called “ADRENALINE” said the instructor sitting on the right and smiling softly, but a little scared as I could tell. He didn’t know me and how I was going to react. It was short and intense, but definitely not easy to forget.
Unfortunately I only tested that once and don’t you imagine that I drove at a very high speed. The test drive was carefully organized and implemented in total agreement with the driving rule and speed limits. That sensation came up during the few seconds when the car reached 100 km/h from 0 km/h.
The 7 Series was not the only model available for a test drive. The next one was an X6, which I totally recommend for the ones looking for comfort and safety while driving. The 7 Series is definitely for tough sensations, but comfort is also there.
In the second drive test I planned to try the Z4. I wanted to see how it felt firstly as a passenger and then as a driver of a sports car. This sports car needs a good driver who actually “knows how to drive it, not to be driven by it” as somebody told me, so I enjoyed the ride sitting in the right seat.
You feel like you’re floating at high speed, if you can imagine what that means. If you don’t, get into a Z4 and you’ll understand.
BMW Innovation Days was not only interesting information, but the most important part was actually experiencing the ultimate technology, being there and living it.
Thank you Revvnation, Andra Zaharia and BMW with all the well trained personnel for the experience I had.
