It’s that time of the year, when gamers and geeks everywhere are superstars (although they’ve gone mainstream for a while now) and they are treated to the best in gaming and entertainment. It’s E3 time!
Everything seems to be epic at E3 Expo: Epic Mickey, Kirby’s Epic Yarn, epic returns, epic launches. What happened to just being cool? Or even awesome? Epic will be worn down in no time at this pace, but it seems there isn’t anything we can do about it.
On the other hand, there are some games that need to be put out there and shared with world, so here’s what blew my mind at E3 this year:
1. Need For Speed Hot Pursuit – Need For Speed is one of the games I grew up with. It is one of the reasons I love cars and gaming and Hot Pursuit seems like it’ll make me feel just like the first time I played NFS and it’s a thrilling sensation! Check out the trailer below:

2. Gran Turismo 5 – I’m not sure there are words to describe how incredibly awesome this game looks. I mean, I can only say that, when I saw this, I got goose bumps. If the entire game is as good as the trailer, we’re in for a huuuge treat!

3. Kinect – formerly known as the Natal Project (a name that I liked a lot more than the current one), Kinect is the no controller, sensor based entertainment system and it will kick ass! I want one and I want one badly!
4. Twisted metal – I’m not much of a combat games fan myself, but this here game returning to the scene has the fans all excited and I can relate to that. Trailer below:

5. Sony Killzone 3 in 3D – even though I’m not a fan of the genre, I have to admit that this looks…wow.
6. Zelda for Wii – cute and cuddly.
7. Gears of War 3 -more action packed than any action movie I’ve seen lately.

8. God of War: Ghosts of Sparta – all I have to say is: this is Spartaaaaa!

9. Bulletstorm – another good one to test your gaming skills. It seems like a good challenge.

10. Portal 2 – interesting from what I’ve seen. If you’re a fan, don’t hesitate to comment and give me some insights.

Bonus: the Nintendo 3DS – 3D with no glasses, now that is truly epic!
